Hydrogen Inhalation Therapy
Recline in the zero-gravity massage chair and breathe hydrogen-rich gas through the Healr® mask. Molecular hydrogen for antioxidant support and recovery — no heat, no cold and no pressure.
What is hydrogen inhalation therapy?
Molecular hydrogen — the smallest molecule there is — delivered as a gas you simply breathe.
Hydrogen inhalation therapy delivers molecular hydrogen (H₂) as a gas you breathe through a soft mask. A generator splits purified water into hydrogen and oxygen and supplies a steady 4% hydrogen blend through the Healr® Hydrogen Mask. You breathe normally. There is no pressure change, no heat and no cold — the whole thing is deliberately uneventful.
Hydrogen is the smallest molecule in existence, which is what drew researchers to it: it diffuses easily and appears to act selectively rather than broadly. Most of the published work sits around oxidative stress and cellular recovery, and the evidence base is real but still developing — we will always tell you what is established and what is not. Here the session runs in our zero-gravity massage chair, so you are reclined and being massaged while you breathe.
- Supports natural antioxidant defences
- Researched for oxidative stress
- Supports recovery & cellular health
- No heat, cold or pressure
- Paired with the massage chair
- Easy to add to any visit
What are the benefits of hydrogen therapy?
Antioxidant Support
- Supports natural antioxidant defences
- Molecular hydrogen is studied for its role in supporting the body’s own antioxidant systems.
- Researched for oxidative stress
- Oxidative stress is where the bulk of the published hydrogen research sits.
- Selective by nature
- What interests researchers is that hydrogen appears to act selectively rather than indiscriminately.
Recovery & Cellular Health
- Supports recovery
- Commonly booked after training, or at the end of a demanding week.
- Supports cellular health
- The research focus is at the cellular level rather than any single symptom.
- Stacks with everything
- Combines comfortably with sauna, cryotherapy, the Airpod or compression in one visit.
Energy, Focus & Calm
- Supports energy and focus
- Feeling clearer and more settled afterwards is the feedback we hear most.
- Genuinely restful
- Reclined and massaged while you breathe — most people leave calmer than they arrived.
- Nothing to learn or endure
- Sit down, mask on, breathe normally. That is the entire technique.
Build your recovery stack
Most clients combine two or three therapies in a single visit.
Airpod Hydroxy
Mild hyperbaric oxygen with 2% hydrogen — an hour lying still while your body does the work…
BrainTap w/ Massage
Light, sound and guided audio in a zero-gravity massage chair — a structured way to switch off…
Infrared Sauna
Deep, penetrating heat that detoxifies your body, eases chronic pain, and helps you relax from the inside…

Got questions?
We’ve answered the key ones to help you book your first session with confidence.
It is breathing molecular hydrogen (H₂) as a gas. A generator splits purified water into hydrogen and oxygen and supplies a steady 4% hydrogen blend through a soft mask — here, the Healr® Hydrogen Mask, in our zero-gravity massage chair. Hydrogen has no smell or taste, there is no pressure change and no temperature change, so there is genuinely nothing to feel other than the chair.
Hydrogen gas is physiologically inert — the body does not metabolise it, and whatever is not used is simply exhaled. That is why it has been studied as a breathing gas for decades, including in deep-sea diving mixes. It is not the same thing as hydrogen peroxide, which people frequently confuse it with online and which should never be inhaled. As with any hydrogen device there is no smoking, vaping or naked flame near the unit. Check with your GP first if you are pregnant, have a lung or respiratory condition, or use supplemental oxygen.
The honest answer is that the research is promising and still developing. Molecular hydrogen is studied mainly for its role in oxidative stress — the imbalance between free radicals and the body’s own antioxidant defences — and for cellular recovery. What we can tell you from the room is that people book it for recovery and for how settled they feel afterwards. We will not tell you it treats anything, because that is not established.
They are different delivery methods rather than competing ones. Hydrogen water gives you a fixed amount in a few mouthfuls, and the hydrogen escapes fairly quickly once the bottle is open. Inhaling delivers a lower concentration continuously across the whole session, so total exposure is generally higher. Neither replaces the other. If you already drink hydrogen water, a session is a sensible way to find out whether a longer exposure feels different to you.
You might, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Home units run from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, and output varies enormously — concentration and flow rate matter far more than price. Trying a handful of sessions first is a sensible way to find out whether hydrogen does anything noticeable for you before committing to a device. Ask us what we run and why; we are happy to talk you through it.
Once or twice a week suits most people, and there is no benefit in overdoing it. It is most often added onto a sauna, cryotherapy or Airpod visit rather than booked on its own, since you are already here and it asks nothing of you physically. We will suggest a rhythm once we know what you are using it for.
We’d love to hear from you
