Infrared Sauna
Deep, penetrating heat that detoxifies your body, eases chronic pain, and helps you relax from the inside out.
Traditional vs infrared
Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, infrared saunas use light waves to directly heat your body at the cellular level.
Traditional sauna
Uses heated air to warm the room to 70–110°C, causing the body to sweat through high-temperature ambient heat.
- Heats the surrounding air
- High heat discomfort
- High humidity
Infrared sauna
Uses panels that emit infrared light, which penetrates the skin to directly heat the body at a lower, milder air temperature of roughly 60–65°C.
- Heats the body directly
- Lower, gentler, dry heat
- Deep tissue relief

Got questions?
We’ve answered the key ones to help you book your first session with confidence.
An infrared sauna uses light waves to warm your body directly, rather than heating the air around you. That means a deep, penetrating warmth at a much lower air temperature than a traditional sauna — typically 45–60°C instead of 80–100°C — which most people find far more comfortable to sit in.
Whatever you’re comfortable in. Most people wear swimwear, gym shorts and a singlet, or nothing at all — your session is completely private. We provide towels. Avoid heavy fabrics, and it’s worth leaving jewellery and makeup off, since you’ll sweat more than you expect.
Many people use infrared sauna sessions for relaxation, muscle recovery and sleep quality, and there’s a growing body of research into heat therapy generally. Individual responses vary. If you’re pregnant, have a heart condition, low blood pressure, or take medication that affects heat tolerance, check with your GP first.
No evidence links infrared sauna use to cancer. Infrared saunas emit infrared light — the same wavelength range you feel as warmth from the sun or a heater — not ultraviolet radiation, which is the part of sunlight associated with skin cancer risk. If you have a specific concern, your GP is the right person to ask.
Most people start with two to three sessions a week and adjust from there. Some use it daily. Start with 20–30 minutes, drink more water than feels necessary, and let how you feel afterwards guide the next session. Our memberships are built around regular use for exactly this reason.
